AIDES-MEMOIRE

Biographical Films for Oneself, Loved Ones or Carers

Whether commissioned for ones own sheer pleasure, or for loved ones no longer able to recall as easily their precious memories, these biographical films can be enormously rewarding, uplifting and are also can be helpful in improving feelings of positivity and wellbeing.

Using existing archive and speaking with willing friends and family who know them best, a film or photo gallery is composed to remind them of places lived, people loved, and of all they have achieved or enjoyed.  With favourite music included where appropriate, these reminders of life’s highlights can become an invaluable and comforting resource - to watch, talk about and enjoy again and again - whether simply for themselves or with family or carers.

Naturally project lengths vary – but 15-30 minutes is the typical range.

In addition, commissioning a 2-3 minute version of the film is also recommended for new carers or helpers to watch.  They report finding it enormously helpful to learn in just a few minutes - via tablets or phones – the life story and spirit of their new client, enabling them to carry out their caring role with deeper understanding and respect - and with the prospect of far more interesting conversation for all.
